Last minute half of the first quarter between LA Lakers (23) and Sacramento Kings (21). Kobe's putting up a good show, seems to be getting a couple free throws and sinking each ball in. *_* He's really inspiring me to perfect my free throws now. Kings are really closing in on Kobe. O_O 2 on 1, giving him two extra free throws. LAL: 28, SAC: 23, Kings just got their field shot, and trying to catch up before this quarter finishes. LAL's distancing their scores with a 3-pointer. My god. SAC did a buzzer-beater. 31 to 27 for 1st quarter.

The week started off with overcasts skies, bearing more than a hint of the plentiful showers that were to come. But on Friday, I woke up to the sound of phone ringing and find myself looking at the blue break in the clouds, the first of the week. On the other end of the line was my mum, who wanted me to get the clothes washed, seeing as it would be a sunny afternoon ahead. It was, but my day wasn't turning out as cheery as the weather. The washing machine died on me. It wasn't the last of my problems. But in the end, everything turned out alright (I'm not so keen to go into the little details of that afternoon). Today's Saturday, and again I woke up to a span of blue skies (along with some buildings). It reminds me why I miss home so much when I'm overseas. In Sydney, my room has no window. I can't see if it's going to be a good day or a wonderful night from my room. I can't see my hand even if it was in front of my face at night. I can't feel the light sea breeze on my face. The plus side is, at least I don't get moths swarming to my room light at night. Or wake up to the heat of the late morning sun warming up my blanket.

Miami Heat vs Phoenix Suns. 1st quarter. Crazy 3-pointers from the Suns. Last minute and a half now. Mia: 16, Phx: 39. Last minute!! Mia + 2, Phx + 3. x_x What's with the three pointers! Heat's trying to catch up, but they seemed to be a bit too hasty in their movements. Nash: 11 assists, first quarter. Wha-. Over now. That's a fun quarter and impressive play. Alas, I have to leave the house soon to meet up with a friend.

One month and 3 days have passed. It'll take one more month + 11 days till I can see him again. That's. 42 days. 86 days in total. There's been much missing and selfishness on my part. I wish I can be perfect, and wouldn't that be much better? I'm afraid though. I'm so afraid I'd start to grow unfeeling. Then it dies. I guess. I just have to sit back and find out for myself how my life will go on. Bad or not. Till then. I really miss you. I don't want to let you go ever.

It's a tradition with each new year: out with the old, in with the new. Alas, I'm getting lazy with layouts. E-L.net is dead, so I'll slowly migrate my artwork and whatsnot here. It's kinda amazing that I've had this site for a full 2 years now; when I look back at my old blog that started in 2001 on geocities, I can't help thinking that those posts are fragments of memories that have been embedded deep into the time, almost forgotten. It makes me cherish the moments I have now, with each passing second, before they disintegrate altogether.
