Stringing Tutorial for old DoCs

Start with the abdomens- do as from picture- string should be in a "W" shape.

Use fingers to adjust till you get something like the above.

Pull the string through the upper thigh. If you're using a string, push one end of your string through the thigh, and have the other end "hook" the elastic string, and pull that end through the thigh too.

Pull the string to get the elastic across the thigh.

Do the same thing with the lower leg. This time, I had the string hook the "U" of the elastic and push both end through the lower leg.

Pull string.

You should get something like the above.

Pull the string through the small disc-like object (cap) and hook the foot to the string.

Push the cap firmly onto the foot after hooking foot to string. It should clasp nicely, i.e. shaking the foot a little won't cause the cap to dislodge easily.
Repeat the above for the other leg.

Repeat the above for the other leg, and after that, pull the strings above the abdomen. I tied my string to the elastic string to help me get the elastic through the neck-torso part (as can be seen for the other end of the string which is already through).

Finally pull it through the hole at the bottom of the face. Ensure that all the other parts have been strung nicely. You can test this by holding the doll up by the string.

Tie both ends of the string to the 'S'-hook, and at the same time, making sure the string is taut enough. This bit will be quite difficult, you might require someone to help you hold the doll while you pull at the strings. The 'S'-hook allows you to release the elastic, without the string going back down through the hole. You can now hook the 'S'-hook to the head-cap. Finally, twist and turn the head cap to lock it into place. =)

And he's done! ^_^
